Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Monitor compliance for assigned Departments or product lines based on compliance monitoring programme
  • Review of CDD/KYC information on new accounts to ensure compliance with local laws, Group policies and applicable international requirements
  • Conducting legal research related to all aspects of the business of the FamGuard Group of Companies using the most suitable resources and providing accurate and appropriate research memorandums
  • Preparing for Court matters and attending Court as needed
  • Providing divisional risk management support for the following divisions/functions: Life Operations, BahamaHealth Operations, Group Sales and Marketing, Financial Services, Home Service, FGIAB or as assigned
  • Working with analytical tools and processes to support the setting and monitoring of risk tolerances in the assigned divisions which are consistent with risk limits
  • Participating in and supporting the external audit and the internal audit processes relevant to the Legal, Risk & Compliance Department
  • Participating in the organization of seminars, special events, projects and meetings
  • Assisting with special projects as assigned

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years Call to The Bahamas Bar
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately and to cope with large volumes of work
  • Strong ability to understand, interpret, communicate and carry out instructions
  • Organizational and administrative skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong analytical skills
